Mumbai University law student comes first despite being marked ‘absent’ in all papers

The student had scored 65 percent in his previous semesters, but was marked absent in his final semester papers. All the confusion has been created due to Mumbai University’s implementation of online assessments

A student from Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai, may as well turn out to be one of the toppers in Mumbai University in his subject after he managed a final score of 71.75 percent- despite being marked absent in all four subjects in sixth and final semesters.

The score is considered to be high for law students in the University.

Lakhs of students suffered this year after Mumbai University’s implementation of online assessment led to huge delays in results coming out.

Students whose answer sheets could not be traced were marked absent in those subjects even as University kept the results in reverse.
