AM Naik, Chairman of engineering conglomerate Larsen & Toubro, said that IT major Tata Consultancy Services would continue to flourish despite the departure of Chief Executive Officer N Chandrasekaran, who has been elevated to the post of Chairman of Tata Sons.
“TCS is a running machine,” Naik told CNBC-TV18. He said that competent successors had been appointed at the company in the form of new CEO Rajesh Gopinathan and Chief Operations Officer NG Subramaniam. He also expressed confidence that the new leadership would follow in the footsteps of their eminent predecessors including Chandrasekaran, S Ramadorai and FC Kohli. On Chandrasekaran’s new role at Tata Sons, Naik said that he fully deserved the promotion because of his competence, all-round capabilities and the fact that he taken TCS to great heights.
