Life at some of India's top engineering colleges can be hectic at normal times and extremely stressful in the worst of times, with submissions, deadline pressure and other responsibilities draining students out completely.
An Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),Kharagpur alum recently took to LinkedIn to share how seniors can help play a role in easing some of the pressures of studying at top institutes and urged students to pick their brains in different aspects such as landing a dream job and knowing more about events happening inside campus, among others.
The post saw a few user comments. While some of them agreed with the man about taking help from seniors to navigate through difficult situations, others thanked him for the suggestions.
"Networking with senior students and alumni networks is an excellent opportunity for the current students to find mentors, coaches and support. Because no one will understand their journey, better than who has already been there," one user said.
"Thanks for keeping us informed and engaged," another user wrote.
This is not the first time the man has taken to the social networking platform to share tips concerning life at the IIT or how to clear the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE).
In 2023, he took to the platform and offered tips to clear the JEE that included suggestions such as having short-term goals for long term success, using textbooks over online study materials for preparation and organising the ergonomics for a productive learning process.
