Industrialist Harsh Goenka is known to share inspirational posts on X (formerly Twitter) to keep his followers entertained. On Wednesday, however, Goenka decided to share a video in which a doctor offered 3 simple secrets for a long and healthy life.
In the video, Dr Nishit Choksi revealed what he had learnt after talking to patients above the age of 90 and almost all of them that he had spoken to had emphasised the need to be happy and content as secrets to leading a long and healthy life.
"The common answer is you gotta be happy. You have to be content with what you have. You have to exercise. I have one 90-year-old lady who goes to the gym every day. That's her passion. She walks without a stick. Her mind is sharp, she lives by herself, and she cooks on her own," Choksi said in the video.
Choksi spoke about the human tendency to brood over not getting what they wanted in life which can impact a person's normal well-being and affect aspects such as blood pressure.
"Sometimes we try to chew more than we can swallow, so we get angry and upset that we didn't get this and that. That creates a chain of events and you don't eat well, you are stressed, and your blood pressure goes up. So three key things: Happiness, content and exercise,'" he said.
The video saw a lot of user comments, many of whom praised Goenka for sharing the video on his timeline.
"Thank you sir, the best post I've seen to date," one user wrote.
"Very useful, to be used by everyone for a healthy life. In my opinion, how healthy you live is important then how many years you live," another user wrote.
This, however, is not the first instance in which a video shared by Goenka has found praise on social media.
In 2022, a video that compared parents to erasers and children to pencils found the industrialist praise on social media with even the likes of Anand Mahindra sharing the video on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.
