"Succession" won the Golden Globe in the Best Drama Series category at the 81st edition of the awards held in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on Sunday.
"Succession" beat competition from the likes of "The Crown", "The Diplomat" and "Last of Us" to emerge victorious in the category.
The comedy-drama series, created by Jesse Armstrong, revolves around the Roy family, who own the media and entertainment conglomerate Waystar RoyCo, and their fight for control of the firm amidst uncertainty about the health of the family's patriarch.

Earlier, Matthew Macfadyen and Sarah Snook won awards in the Best Supporting Male Actor-Television and Best Television Female Actor – Drama Series categories, respectively.
