The Karnataka High Court today ordered issue of emergent notices to Multi-System Operators and nodal officers in Bangalore on a plea seeking extension of the March 31 deadline for installing Set Top Boxes.

Justice Abdul Nazeer's order came on a petition filed by Mysore District Cable Operators' Association which has sought more time to go digital. The petitioner submitted that they would appear before the court on April 1 and prayed for a direction to the Central government not to switch off the analog channels from the night of March 31.
