Electric vehicles an eco-friendly option, says Anant Geete

While opinion is till divided over whether the Delhi Government's proposed measures on curbing pollution in the national capital will yield results, the Union Heavy Industries Minister Anant Geete has decided to do his bit, by deciding to drive around town in an electric Mahindra Verito.Talking to CNBC-TV18's Rituparna Bhuyan he said to do way with the pollution problem all over, there is a need to use electric vehicles but he also said that the initial cost of the vehicle is more. His new Verito cost him around Rs 13.5 lakh but once demand for the vehicles go up, the costs will also come down.
