As the furore over coal block allocation continues, coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal said de-allocation of blocks is not an easy process and will lead to complications later. He believes, only IMG can decide on the issue of de-allocating coal blocks. It is also for the IMG to decide whether the government needs to take over a company's bank guarantee or not, added Jaiswal.
Meanwhile, the opposition is all set to release a fresh set of documents on the coal block allocation mess. BJP will release documents showing irregular allotments after the main complainant BJP's Hansraj Ahir raised the matter afresh. Ahir said that he expects more companies to be pulled up by the CBI adding that the party will have no issues if blocks of NDA era are deallocated.

Besides, Harish Salve is against a blanket cancellation of coal blocks. He says coal blocks can be legally cancelled only if an enquiry establishes fraud and concludes that the government's decision making process was malafide. Salve is also not convinced about auction as the only right way forward.
