Winter session:PFRDA, LIC, Lokpal Bill to take centre stage

After a washout monsoon session this year, the Parliament is all set to commence the much awaited winter session. While, the PFRDA Bill is one amongst the many crucial pieces of legislation slotted for this session, parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Bansal said that the direct taxes code is unlikely to go ahead in the winter session.

After a washout monsoon session this year, the Parliament is all set to commence the much awaited winter session.

While, the PFRDA Bill is one amongst the many crucial pieces of legislation slotted for this session, parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Bansal said that the direct taxes code is unlikely to go ahead in the winter session. The LIC Bill and the controversial Lokpal Bill are also listed for the session which commences on November 22 and concludes on December 21. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar has called for an all-party meeting to ensure that the sittings are held smoothly.
