The growing popularity of 10-minute delivery apps has transformed convenience for customers but has also placed enormous pressure on delivery agents working under tight timelines. A recent incident shared on social media offered a glimpse into the challenges these workers face — and the quiet acts of kindness that often go unnoticed.
Social media user Neha Moolchandani took to X (formerly Twitter) to recount her experience with a Blinkit delivery agent whose electric scooter broke down mid-route. Despite the setback, his courtesy left her deeply touched.
In her post, she wrote, “Blinkit guy came late! He told me that his EV vehicle got discharged midway so he has to drag! Requested me, ‘If he can charge the battery for few minutes?’”
Neha said she agreed, and the delivery agent waited outside her residence for nearly an hour while the scooter’s battery recharged. “After charging, he asked me that he’ll pay for the electricity! And I was thinking, ‘How generous he was that he had the heart to ask for paying!’” she added.
Before leaving, the delivery agent handed her a small Milky Bar as a token of appreciation. Moolchandani wrote, “I notice that people with less resources always have more to give!”
Her post quickly gained traction online, with several users commenting on the decency and dignity displayed by the rider.
One user remarked, “Blinkit might appoint you as brand ambassador and good PR head.”
Another wrote, “That moment speaks volumes about human dignity and grace. Even in hardship, some carry a generosity that wealth can’t imitate. It’s humbling to see how those with the least often possess the richest hearts. Gratitude, it seems, isn’t born from abundance but from empathy and integrity.”
Others expressed similar sentiments. “People who have the least often understand the value of every little thing – time, help, kindness. That’s why their gratitude feels so pure. A Milky Bar may be small, but the heart behind it is huge,” one user commented.
“Gem of a person met gem of a person!” another wrote, while one more user observed, “The richest hearts aren’t measured by wallets, but by warmth.”
