The woman named Aarti Khetarpal, as later revealed in an Instagram post, was overwhelmed with memories of a past relationship that ended in heartbreak. As she recounted, Arijit Singh, mid-performance, sat on the stage and made eye contact with her before continuing to sing. It was during his rendition of "O Sajni" that Singh gestured to her, asking her to wipe her tears and smile, even offering words of comfort: “forgive and forget.”

Khetarpal later shared her experience on Instagram, where she described the moment as more than a coincidence. “God sends signs, and tonight’s Arijit Singh concert was proof. As soon as he started singing his emotional songs, memories of my ex flooded back...In that moment, Arijit—without knowing why I was crying—sang, consoled, and said, ‘forgive and forget.’ It felt like God was speaking through him in that moment,” she wrote.
