Nikita displayed remarkable presence of mind and asked Alexa to bark like a dog during the monkey attack.

On Saturday, a 13-year-old girl named Nikita earned praise from all sections of the internet for her presence of mind. The teen was visiting her sister’s house in Uttar Pradesh’s Basti when monkeys entered the double-storey building and started to wreak havoc inside. However, Nikita’s reflexes took over and she asked Amazon’s Alexa to bark like a dog, which scared the monkeys away. While doing so, she also saved her 15-month-old niece who froze after looking at the monkeys.

Now, due to her quick thinking and remarkable presence of mind, Nikita has earned a job offer from none other than Anand Mahindra. The Mahindra Group Chairman called Nikita’s thinking “extraordinary” and offered her a job at the Mahindra Group if she ever decides to take up work in the corporate world.

“The dominant question of our era is whether we will become slaves or masters of technology. The story of this young girl provides comfort that technology will always be an ENABLER of human ingenuity. Her quick thinking was extraordinary,” the billionaire wrote.

“What she demonstrated was the potential for leadership in an entirely unpredictable world. After she finishes her education, if she ever decides to work in the corporate world I hope we at @MahindraRise will be able to convince her to join us!” he added.

Meanwhile, according to a report in Times of India, Nikita was playing with the toddler in the bedroom when the family realised that monkeys had entered inside. They had found a way in because resident Pankaj Ojha had mistakenly left the door open while in a hurry to drop off a relative.
