Former Silicon Valley CEO and health-tech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson, known for his relentless pursuit of age reversal, has opened up about his skincare regimen and the damage caused by years of neglect. In a detailed online post, Johnson shared his personal experience with skin damage and his ongoing efforts to restore and maintain his skin health.

Johnson, 46, who gained recognition through his Blueprint project—an initiative designed to reverse biological age—revealed that his skin had once suffered from extensive damage. "Until I was 40, I kind of destroyed my skin," he wrote, attributing this to years of sunburns, a poor diet, and the absence of a proper skincare routine.

He described how these factors had left his skin severely aged, with multispectral imaging showing that it ranked in the 98th percentile for damage in several areas. At the time, his skin had the biological age of 64.

Since then, Johnson has transformed his approach to skincare. His current protocol has brought his skin’s biological age down to between 37 and 42, a significant improvement he attributes to a combination of lifestyle changes and medical-grade treatments. “Exercise, prioritising sleep, and maintaining a healthy diet are fundamental,” Johnson stated. He also stressed the importance of regulating sun exposure by avoiding high UV periods (10 am – 4 pm) and using protective measures such as sunscreen, UV umbrellas, and protective clothing.
