A 101-year-old woman has repeatedly been mistaken for an infant during her travels. Patricia, who prefers not to disclose her surname, has encountered this amusing yet inconvenient glitch multiple times due to her birth year of 1922 being misread as 2022 by the airline's computer.

During a recent flight between Chicago and Marquette, Michigan, Patricia's daughter Kris, who arranged the booking online, experienced firsthand the comical mix-up. "The computer at the airport thought my birth date was 2022 and not 1922," Patricia explained. "The same thing happened last year, and they were also expecting a child and not me."

This befuddling error has led to practical difficulties for Patricia, including airport staff failing to provide suitable assistance upon her arrival. Patricia recounted an incident where transport was not arranged inside the terminal because they were anticipating a baby rather than a centenarian. Despite these hiccups, Patricia praises the kindness and helpfulness of American Airlines staff amidst the confusion.

On another flight, Patricia and her daughter were waiting inside the plane after other passengers had left, as airport staff had not arranged a wheelchair for her.
