Samsung has launched its flagship portable SSD, the T9, in India on October 9. It offers storage options up to 4TB and promises fast data transfer speeds.
The T9 houses USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface that enables data transfers up to 2,000 MB/s. The company said that this portable SSD provides double the speed of the former flagship, the T7.

Further, the T9 comes in three storage capacities - 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. It is resistant to drops from heights up to three meters and has Samsung's Dynamic Thermal Guard technology that helps mitigate performance dips caused by overheating. It also complies with IEC 62368-1 safety standards, which is a hazard safety standard for all technology equipment.
Samsung's Magician Software helps maintain firmware updates for the devices, and lets users benchmark performance, and security functions. It also has a real-time health checkup for the drive.

The T9 is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android, which means it can work with a wide array of computers, smartphones, gaming consoles and high-resolution cameras. Samsung says that the drive can be directly connected to 8K or 12K resolution cameras.
As for the pricing, the SSD starts at Rs 12,799 for the base 1TB variant. Users will get a five year warranty with the device. It also includes USB Type C-to-C and USB Type C-to-A cables in the box.
