Samsung has reportedly announced free screen replacement for select Galaxy smartphones in India that have been facing green line issues on their smartphones. Under this free display replacement program, the popular smartphone manufacturer will offer a one-time screen replacement until April 30.
What users should know about Samsung screen replacement programme
Many Samsung Galaxy smartphone users in recent months have complained about green lines popping on their displays. According to a report by SamMobile, Samsung had also acknowledged this issue. This visual glitch, which was affecting older S series or Note smartphones with Super AMOLED displays, was occurring after some faulty software updates.
According to a new report by Android Authority, Samsung is offering a free one-time screen replacement service for the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, Samsung Galaxy Note20/Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S21 series (except S21 FE phones), and Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones in India. Do keep in mind that these phones are a couple of years old. No other smartphone series from Samsung is eligible for this screen replacement program.
Samsung has stated that the eligible smartphones should not have any physical or water damage and must be purchased within the last three years. Moreover, Samsung is also offering a new battery with every screen repair.
Hence, if you have any of the aforementioned Galaxy S or Note series devices, and are facing a green line issue on your smartphone, you can avail of this offer to fix your smartphone’s screen. You can contact the nearest Samsung Service Center in your area and book an appointment before April 30.
Previously, OnePlus had also announced a similar screen replacement policy for OnePlus users facing a similar green-line issue last year.
