A reveal on Flipkart suggests that Realme’s forthcoming smartphone will boast of a versatile power button that does more than just turn the phone on and off. Realme has also promoted this as the segment’s first VC Cooling system. Based on leaks online we’re likely to see this smartphone land just under Rs 20,000. The device is likely to offer solid value at this price based on the features that Realme has teased so far:
Flagship luxury watch design: Realme has already shared product images of the device. The rear camera looks gorgeous; Realme claims that it took design cues from flagship luxury watches.
Camera highlights: We’re likely to see the segment’s first 50MP Sony LYT-600 OIS Portrait camera that is expected to deliver high quality portrait images. Realme’s product page has also suggested that the camera will offer Super OIS, a 112-degree ultra-wide camera and flagship cinematic portraits.
Robust battery: We’re expecting to see a massive 5000 mAh battery under the hood, backed by a 67W Super VOOC charger.
A versatile power button: In a feature that seems inspired by the ‘Action’ button we’ve seen on the Apple Watch Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro devices, the power button is likely to be versatile and can be used for different functions from toggling to airplane mode or ‘do not disturb’ mode. It could even function as a camera hot key.
Smart touch: We’re likely to see a premium 120Hz AMOLED display. Realme has already shared that this display will offer Rainwater Smart Touch.
Other cool additions: We’re likely to see dual stereo speakers. The device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity D7050 5G Chipset. The Realme 12+ is expected to be geared for elements with IP54 Dust and water resistance.
The Realme 12+ is all set to shake up the sub Rs 20,000 segment if it lands at this price point.
