iQOO is all set to launch its new smartphone on February 22, 2024. The brand has already shared most of the key highlights of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. The big question is whether this device will land under Rs 40,000 and take on new smartphones in the same price band like the OnePlus 12R and OPPO’s Reno 11 Pro. Tipster Mukul Sharma claims to have found the price of this device on a leaked retail box and took to X (formerly Twitter) with a claim that the device will launch at Rs 37,999. Here’s what we already know about this device:
Flagship level processor: iQOO has confirmed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that propelled most of the flagship devices in 2023.
Two storage variants: The Neo 9 Pro will arrive in two options – 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. Both options come with the same internal storage.
Flagship level camera: One of the highlights of this device is the 50MP Sony IMX920 camera that teams up with an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera. iQOO also shared images of the cool squircle-shaped rear camera.
Dual tone option: The device will be available in a vibrant dual tone that comes in a premium leather finish.
Massive battery: The Neo 9 Pro will feature a massive 5,160 mAh battery under the hood. The battery will be backed by a 120W fast charger in the box.
Immersive display: One of the standout features is a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
The iQOO Neo 7 Pro was launched for Rs 34,999 (8GB/128GB). This pegs the Neo 9 Pro at a slightly higher launch price tag. Mukul Sharma doesn’t mention which variant will be priced at Rs 37,999 but adds that the device is likely to be launched with an instant discount of Rs 3,000 at launch.
