Meta-owned Facebook Messenger has rolled out a new feature update that includes a slew of exciting new features. For starters, Messenger now allows you to send high-definition photos, similar to the feature they earlier introduced on WhatsApp. The social media app also allows you to share large-sized files up to 100MB, add new connections with QR codes, and more.

Users can now share HD photos

Facebook Messenger now lets you share images and videos in HD quality. Here, HD symbolises 4K resolution for images and HD resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels) for videos. As mentioned earlier, this is exactly similar to WhatsApp file-sharing capabilities, and you can select the HD tag for the users to whom you want to send the media file. Similarly, when you receive an HD image or video on Messenger, the HD logo will be visible.
