Bengaluru police install dash cams in patrolling vehicles

Bengaluru city police commissioner B Dayananda told Moneycontrol that dash cams not only enhance public safety but also ensure transparency and accountability.

The Bengaluru city police have begun installing dash cams (dashboard cameras) in patrolling vehicles.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda informed Moneycontrol: "There are 241 Hoysala patrolling vehicles in the city which will be equipped with dash cams. Further, dash cams will be installed in vehicles of Police Inspectors and Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs)"

He said installation has commenced in around 500 vehicles and will be completed within 10 days.
