Father’s Day just went by and Tata Motors took a pretty noticeable stab at some of the biggest names in the luxury hatchback segment in India. Its commercial took a veiled dig at Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza.

From praising the design to its 5-star global NCAP crash test rating, Tata is basically saying that the Altroz is the 'baap' of the hatchbacks, but does it really stack up? Here’s a comparison:

Firstly, we will not be comparing how the car looks. Simply because style is pretty subjective. When one says straight cut denims are the best, someone else might say he likes his pants tight around the waist.

One may like to hit the road with a rugged SUV but there are always people who think less is more and opt for small cars.
