MTNL offers 2 Mbps plan for Rs.25/month in Mumbai

In an attempt to get high speed broadband connection within the reach of the masses, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), popular broadband service provider in Mumbai launched 2 Mbps Broadband plan for Rs.25 per month, called “Broadband For Every Home”. By slashing the prices of entry-level broadband, MTNL hopes to make their ADSL based wire-line Broadband services (Triband) a favourite among the crowd, since it has now gotten more affordable. In an official statement, MTNL confirms that all the new customers choosing to go in for their "Broadband for Every Home" plan will have to "pay one time charges Rs. 200 for installation and testing Rs.300 and Rs.600 for MTNL wired or wireless (Wi-Fi) modem respectively and Rs.50 per month ADSL Modem rental extra", while adding that if a user already has a modem, then they won't be charged for the modem.  Click here for full story
