Pirates around the world were left in the dark as one of the most popular torrent websites – The Pirate Bay – has been suffering a prolonged outage over the past two days. According to CNN, users of the torrent website flooded the Facebook page of The Pirate Bay with complaints that they were not able to access the website. The website declared that the outage was mostly because of a power failure, and that the website will be back up by the end of this week.Earlier this week, Swedish law enforcement agencies had raided PQR – a web host started by the founders of The Pirate Bay, according to TorrentFreak. The raid had caused the outage of many websites that were hosted on PQR, but according to the founders, The Pirate Bay itself was barely affected by the takedown of PQR. "We have a relay there but not that much more," the Pirate Bay's operators wrote on their Facebook page. "This combined with a power failure at another place is the reason why we're down at the moment." Click here for full story
