Ultrabooks to account for 43 percent of all notebooks by 2015

Ultrabooks is what is required to fight the threat of tablets in the years to come, according to a report by IHS iSuppli. The newly launched media tablets are eating away at the share of notebooks and the category to see the biggest hit is netbooks. According to IHS iSuppli, Ultrabooks are likely to make up for 43 percent of all notebooks by the year, 2015. By the end of the year, they will only make up for 2 percent, but this number is expected to swell to 13 percent in 2012 and 38 percent in 2014. Principal analyst, Matthew Wilkins says that notebooks need to be more appealing to customers and Ultrabooks might just be what’s required. Click here for full story
