More and more companies seem to be trying their hands at augmented reality headsets. The Verge has had a hands-on session with one such device that seems to be in direct competition to Google's Project Glass. The device, dubbed the Vuzix M100, was a prototype that ran a looped video that was watchable.According to Vuzix, the device that was on show at CES would last around eight hours under typical usage and was close to shipping. The device can be mounted either via an ear-loop or bands that go over or behind your head.The device boasts some impressive specs for its size, running on Android 4.0. The hardware includes the capability to shoot 720p video, 4GB of storage, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The screen has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, but owing to the size of the screen and the distance from the eye, the resolution is still pretty impressive. Click here for full story
