Apple has updated iOS to version 6.1, which adds LTE capabilities to the iPhone 5 across 36 additional carriers. Users of the new iPad can also enjoy LTE across 23 iPad carriers around the world. However, India is not one of the countries on the list, which means the iPhone 5 and the new iPad are limited to HSPA+ speeds here. iOS 6.1 is available right now as a free software update and is compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (third and fourth generation), iPad mini, iPad 2 and iPod touch (fourth and fifth generation).
