Microsoft will stop supporting Windows XP less than a year from now, and to that end the company is now asking businesses and home users on the old operating system to upgrade to a more modern platform like Windows 7 or Windows 8. “Starting April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide support for Windows XP users,” the company said on its blog last night. This means customers will no longer receive security and maintenance updates for Windows XP systems nor will Microsoft’s tech support team help in troubleshooting.The post added, “Moving away from Windows XP to a more modern platform in Windows 7 and Windows 8 will ready your IT infrastructure for future technology solutions and growth of your company.” Click here for full story
