AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has returned back to Tihar Jail on Sunday, June 2, in the excise policy case after being out on temporary bail for 21 days to undertake poll campaign.

Before surrendering to Tihar Jail, Kejriwal along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal, Delhi ministers Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Kailash Gahlot and other AAP leaders also paid tribute at the Rajghat memorial and visited the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place.

On June 1, the Delhi court reserved its order until June 5 on the interim bail plea moved by Arvind Kejriwal, seeking interim bail extension by a week on medical grounds.

A took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to inform the public about his planned visits before scheduled surrender. The post reads, “First I will go to Rajghat and pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. From there I will go to Hanuman temple in Connaught Place to seek blessings of Hanuman ji. And from there I will go to the party office and meet all the workers and party leaders. From there I will again leave for Tihar."
