Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences for a check-up in New Delhi. She along with her son and party Vice President Rahul left Lok Sabha while the voting for the Food Security Bill was underway on various amendments by the Opposition.

Sonia Gandhi is under observation in the intensive care unit of AIIMS. Congress sources said she suddenly felt cold and feverish. She was seen leaving Parliament at 8:15 pm, being helped by Union minister Kumari Selja. She had viral fever since last night and doctors examined her at her home, sources said.
She was in the Lok Sabha since 2 pm and debated on the Bill, which is her dream project, saying it's an essential bill and the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance has fulfilled its promise that it made in 2009.
The Congress has always been secretive about Sonia's health and it was more than a year ago, she went to America for a check up. (With additional inputs from PTI)
