Aggarwal said that the EV hub which will be operational by February of 2024 in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu will transform Tamil Nadu and India as the global epicenter for EVs.

Ola Electric’s new EV hub which is being built in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district will potentially employ 25,000 workforce when it runs on full-scale, said the firm’s cofounder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bhavish Aggarwal on January 7 at the Tamil Nadu Global Investor Meet (GIM) being held in Chennai.

“Spread across 2000 acres, our EV hub will also have a vendor and supplier network in addition to manufacturing capacity. At full scale, our EV hub will have 25,000 strong workforce and together we will make Tamil Nadu and India, the global epicenter for EVs,” he said.

Aggarwal also said that the EV hub will be operational from next month.

“We were able to set up one of India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturing facilities which we call the future factory in just eight months in Tamil Nadu, the EV hub will be operational next month. We have also made is production-ready in record time, this is possible only in India and Tamil Nadu.” Aggarwal said.
