Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri was recently heard saying that Pakistan Army chief General Asim Munir ordered top officers to attend the funerals of the terrorists killed in Operation Sindoor.
In a footage, that is now doing rounds on social media, the Jaish commander disclosed that the Pakistan Army General Headquarters (GHQ) had instructed senior commanders to honour slain terrorists with military protocol.
"GHQ ordered the martyrs to be honoured and given the last salute. Corps commanders were asked to accompany the janaza (funeral procession) and guard it in uniform," Ilyas purportedly said in the video, according to a report by The Times of India.
In one more video that appears to be of the same event, he went on to confirm the complicity of his boss Maulana Masood Azhar in terror attacks in India, including the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
"After escaping from Tihar Jail (post IC-814 hijack), Amir-ul-Mujahideen Maulana Masood Azhar came to Pakistan and the soil of Balakot provided him a base to carry forward his vision, mission and programme in Delhi and Mumbai," he said, TOI reported.
This comes after another clip that surfaced online, in which he admitted that Indian strikes under Operation Sindoor devastated the family of Masood Azhar in Bahawalpur.
“Embracing terrorism, we fought Delhi, Kabul and Kandahar for protecting the borders of this country. After sacrificing everything, on May 7, Maulana Masood Azhar's family was torn apart by Indian forces in Bahawalpur,” he said, recalling the attack, according to a report by Hindustan Times.
