The construction of Ram Temple structure in Ayodhya is now complete. The temple trust has released new visuals of the mandir as the city prepared for one of the most iconic moments in its modern history.
On November 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist a saffron flag atop the 191-foot-high spire of the newly built Ram Temple—a moment the trust describes as spiritually historic and symbolically profound for millions of devotees across the world.
The temple’s main spire stands 161 feet high, and a 30-foot flagpole has been installed atop it. The flag will therefore be hoisted at a height of 191 feet from the ground. This specially designed saffron flag carries deep religious, historical, and cultural significance, linking Ayodhya’s heritage, the Suryavansh (Solar Dynasty), and the Ramayana’s spiritual symbolism.
A grand ceremonial flag hoisting will take place on the main spire of the Ram Temple between 11.58 am and 1 pm.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust, confirmed that the flag will be saffron in colour, featuring the sun symbol, with ‘Om’ inscribed at its centre and an image of the Kovidar tree.
Fresh visuals emerging from the temple site show shimmering sandstone pillars, gold-plated kalash work, polished pathways, and the grand spire ready for the Dhwajarohan ceremony. Engineers and rituals teams have conducted multiple rehearsals in the last few days to ensure the ceremony—which will be attended by seers, dignitaries, and thousands of devotees—goes flawlessly.
Kalash Yatra begins
A Kalash Yatra commenced from the Saryu ghat on Thursday before the ceremonial flag hoisting atop the spire of the Ram temple on November 25, officials said, PTI reported.
Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust member Anil Mishra performed the kalash puja on the banks of the Saryu before the procession began.
Women devotees carrying 551 kalash (urns) walked along the Ram Path as part of the ritual.
Temple authorities said the water collected during the yatra will be used for various religious rituals scheduled in the coming days before the flag hoisting ceremony at Ram temple spire.
