No fresh protests and violence were reported in Imphal valley two days after hundreds of students clashed with security forces on Tuesday demanding removal of the state DGP and security advisor to the government.
An indefinite curfew was imposed in Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal districts on Tuesday after conflict escalated.

- Alleging the government of India is responsible for the the tragedy in Manipur, the Congress on Wednesday asserted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should be sacked for his "total failure" in reining in the violence.
- Manipur Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on Wednesday left Imphal for Guwahati. He is the governor of Assam with additional charge of Manipur.
- The students had been protesting since Monday morning and also had camped the night in the market areas of Khwairamband.
- More than 55 students and security personnel received minor injuries during the clash on Tuesday near the Raj Bhavan.
- The Department of Higher and Technical Education, Manipur, has announced a two-day holiday for all government and private colleges on September 11 and 12.
- Manipur University has postponed all postgraduate and undergraduate examinations till further orders.
- Hours after the clash near Raj Bhavan, the governor met 11 student representatives on Tuesday night.
- Raj Bhavan, in a statement issued late on Tuesday night, said, "Representatives of students met Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and submitted a memorandum."
- Search operations and area domination exercises were underway in Kangpokpi district and arms and explosives were recovered, police said.
- Chief Minister N Biren Singh said he met students of Imphal College and Ibotonsana Higher Secondary School and assured them that his government is committed to address the issues faced by the state.
