Western Railway hikes platform ticket rates to Rs 50 at major stations to curb festive season rush
The Western Railway on Saturday said the rate of platform tickets on major stations in the Mumbai division has been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 50 till October 31 to curb overcrowding during the festive season.
As per an official release, the platform ticket rate has been increased at Mumbai Central, Dadar, Borivali, Bandra Terminus, Vapi, Valsad, Udhna and Surat stations in the Mumbai division.

ISRO all set for maiden commercial launch of 36 broadband satellites
- ISRO will make its maiden commercial launch of 36 broadband communication satellites on-board the space agency's heaviest rocket LVM3-M2 at Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh.
- The 43.5 metre tall rocket is scheduled to lift-off from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 12.07 am on Sunday.
- The rocket is dubbed as one of the heaviest for its ability to carry satellites upto 8,000 kgs.
- The launch is also first for LVM-3-M2 to place the satellites in the Low Earth Orbit (LEO-up to 1,200 kms above the Earth) unlike Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO).
Chinese Loan Apps: ED searches Razorpay, banks, freezes deposits worth Rs 78 crore
The Enforcement Directorate has frozen fresh deposits worth Rs 78 crore in raids at the premises of Razorpay and some banks as part of an ongoing money laundering probe against the alleged illegal operations of loan apps "controlled" by Chinese nationals. Read here
