Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers conducted the lie-detection test on the prime accused in the alleged rape and murder of a lady doctor at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. CCTV footage reportedly showed Roy entering the emergency building at 4am on the day of the incident, wearing a bluetooth device. When he left 40 minutes later, the device was missing. It was later found near the victim’s body. The police paired it with Roy's cellphone and thus linked him to the crime.

The  lie-detection test was conducted at Kolkata's Presidency Jail where Roy is lodged, the report added.
