In a direct message to Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged its citizens to question its own government and army.
"If you want a happy and peaceful life, eat bread or else there is a bullet...I want to ask what did it even gain," the PM said while addressing a rally at Bhuj. "The people of Pakistan need to come forward to get their country rid of terrorism. Their youth will have to come forward..."
PM Modi said the retaliation was so strong that the Pakistan air bases are still in ICU. "It was the valour and bravery of our forces that Pakistan waved the white flag... We had already told them, our target was your terror infrastructure; all you had to do was stay quiet. Now that you made a mistake, you have to deal with the consequences," said PM Modi.
The PM was addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone and inaugurating multiple development projects in Gujarat's Bhuj. He also said that Operation Sindoor was a "mission to save humanity and end terrorism".
"Our policy against terrorism is of zero tolerance. Operation Sindoor has made this policy even clearer. Anyone who tries to spill the blood of Indians will be answered in their own language. Those who dare to look at India with evil intent will not be spared at any cost. Operation Sindoor is a mission to protect humanity and to put an end to terrorism," he said.
According to the PM, Islamabad treats terrorism as tourism. Cautioning Pakistan, the PM said "whoever tries to bleed India, they will be paid in their own currency".
"India believes in tourism. Tourism brings people together. But a country like Pakistan thinks terrorism is tourism. This is a big threat for the world," said the PM.
Earlier in the day, the family of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, the Indian Army officer who became the face of Operation Sindoor, attended the PM's mega roadshow in Gujarat's Vadodara. A photo of them at the roadshow was also shared by the PM.
The Prime Minister was welcomed by a huge crowd waving the Indian flag as he visited his home state for the first time after Operation Sindoor, the country's latest and most decisive action against terrorism.
“Today, 1.4 billion Indians are united and working tirelessly to make our country a Viksit Bharat. The demand of the present time is that everything needed for the country’s progress should be made within India. India is rapidly advancing in the world of manufacturing," he said after inaugurating several development projects worth Rs 24,000 crore in Gujarat’s Dahod.
