Bharatiya Janata Party by sweeping to power in Delhi 2025 has taken hold of the Hindi heartland and finds itself in one of the best positions across the country, ruling over large swathes of north, east and western India along with allies.

As of 3 pm, results from Delhi polls indicated that the party was winning in 47 of 70 seats, as it returns to power in the National Capital after 27 years.

The party, which got reduced to 240 in the general elections held last year and had to rely on allies to form the government, has charted its course back to power by retaining Haryana, Maharashtra and winning Odisha and Delhi over the last year.
