As the single-day polling for the Haryana Assembly elections wraps up, the 2024 exit poll results indicate that Congress is set to secure a comfortable and big majority in the state.
Dhruv Research exit poll
Dhruv Research exit poll has predicted a Congress sweep in Haryana. The party is likely to get 50-64 seats while the BJP expected to secure only 22-32 seats. The pollster has predicted zero seats for JJP+, INLD+ & AAP, and six seats for Others.
C-Voter numbers
According to India Today - C-Voter exit poll survey, Congress is poised to get 50-58 seats in the Assembly while BJP is likely to win 20-28 seats.
P-MARQ predictions
Pollster P-MARQ has predicted a big victory for the Congress (51-61 seats). The BJP is likely to secure 27-35 seats, short of the majority mark.
Matrize seat projection
Matrize exit poll has predicted 18-24 seats for BJP, with Congress securing a comfortable victory with 55-62 seats. Smaller parties like INLD and JJP, according to the prediction, will get 03-06 and 00-03 seats respectively.
Dainik Bhaskar exit poll
Just like most of the surveys, Dainik Bhaskar has also given a clear majority to the Congress. The party is projected to secure between 44-54 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections. The ruling BJP is expected to be limited to 19-29 seats. The survey gives 0-1 seat to JJP+ and 1-5 seats to INLD+. AAP may win at the most one seat in Haryana.
Haryana's assembly elections are pivotal for shaping the BJP's future electoral narratives post 2024. The ruling BJP aims for a hat-trick of victories in the state, while the Congress seeks to reclaim power after a decade.
Vote counting for the Haryana Assembly elections will take place on October 8, alongside the Jammu and Kashmir polls.
A total of 1,031 candidates contested in Haryana, including 101 women and 464 independents.
With over 2 crore eligible voters, these elections will determine the fate of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Congress leaders Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Vinesh Phogat, as well as JJP’s Dushyant Chautala and 1,027 other candidates.
In addition to the BJP and Congress, key contenders include the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the INLD-BSP and JJP-Azad Samaj Party alliances.
The significance of these elections is underscored by several factors, as they are the first state polls following the Lok Sabha elections held in June, with Maharashtra and Jharkhand polls also nearing.
