Greater Bengaluru’s first satellite township project, aimed at easing the city's congestion, is gaining momentum as a consultant will soon be hired to prepare a preliminary report.

The Greater Bengaluru Development Authority (GBDA) has recently floated a tender to select a consultant for the preparation of a base map and preliminary report for the economic corridors of the Greater Bengaluru Integrated Township (GBIT) in Bidadi.

The proposed area of Bidadi GBIT, covers 8,935 acres, along with 2,742 acres of economic corridors (ECs). Including buffer zones around the area, the total coverage will be around 12,844 acres.
