The murder of a 32-year-old civil services aspirant in north Delhi earlier this month has taken a shocking turn, with investigators revealing that a hard disk recovered from the victim’s flat contained private videos of at least 15 women. Police said the content points to a disturbing fetish that ultimately led to his murder.

The charred body of the victim, identified as Ram Kesh Meena, was discovered on October 6 after a massive fire broke out in his Timarpur apartment. What initially appeared to be an accident soon turned into a cold-blooded murder investigation.

Three weeks later, police arrested Meena’s live-in partner, Amrita Chauhan, her ex-boyfriend, Sumit Kashyap, and their common friend, Sandeep Kumar, for allegedly killing Meena and staging the fire to cover up the crime.

During interrogation, Amrita confessed that she conspired to kill Meena because he had secretly recorded her private videos and stored them on a hard disk. Despite her repeated requests, Meena allegedly refused to delete them. Recovering the hard disk became one of the key motives behind the killing.
