A total of 3,51,966 COVID-19 patients in the state have been discharged from hospitals after recovering from the infection, Additional Chief Secretary Health,AmitMohanPrasad said.
With this, the recovery rate in the state has reached 86.47 percent, he said.

After showing a gradual decline in the last week of September, the number of COVID-19 patients under home quarantine in Delhi has risen in October, according to official data.
The number of COVID-19 patients under home isolation was 19,213 on September 21 and 18,464 the next day.
The figure fell further to 17,834 on September 23, when the number of containment zones stood at 1,987.The cases under home isolation, however, showed a rising trend on September 24 (17,995) and September 25 (18,096).
From September 26-30, the cases of home isolation fell gradually for five consecutive days until October 1, when the count rose to 15,899 and containment zones stood at 2,616.

Australia and New Zealand on Friday announced a partial opening of their borders to travel between the neighboring countries.
Passengers will be able to fly to the Australian cities of Sydney and Darwin without going into quarantine from Oct. 16 if they have spent at least two weeks in parts of New Zealand that are not considered to be a COVID-19 hot spot, Transport Minister Michael McCormack said.
But New Zealand will continue to insist on travelers from Australia going into hotel quarantine for two weeks on arrival.

An acute loss of smell or taste is a "highly reliable" coronavirus indicator and should now be considered globally as a criterion for self-isolation, testing, and contact tracing, according to a research by UK scientists.
The cohort study, which assessed health data from primary care centres in London and is published in PLOS Medicine' this week, found that 78 percent of people who reported sudden loss of smell and/or taste at the height of the pandemic had SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19 antibodies. Of these people, 40 percent did not have a cough or fever. According to experts, it is the first time such a figure has been calculated.

Uttarakhand government has issued the guidelines for 'Unlock 5' deciding to permit opening of cinema halls and theatres with up to 50 per cent of their seating capacity in areas outside the containment zones with effect from October 15.
Entertainment parks and similar places will also be permitted to open from October 15 for which the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by Union health ministry shall be strictly adhered to, the latest guidelines issued by the state government late on Thursday said.
The current ceiling of 100 people gathering for social, academic, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious and political functions can be removed outside containment zones after October15, it said.
