129 Indian students have been detained in the United States for allegedly violating immigration rules and face possible deportation, CNN News 18 has reported. Once they are deported, it would take the students at least a couple of years before they can get another visa to study in the US.

The students were detained after raids by the US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Agency at a fake university in Farmington Hills.

Sources have told the news channel that even if the students were to apply for the American Visa, the popping of the Farmington University in their database will be a major red flag.
