Dermatologist and Trichologist Dr Gitika Sanodia Biyani from LH Hiranandani Hospital, Mumbai, sheds light on the common struggle faced during the winter-spring shift. "Seasonal dandruff is prevalent during colder months due to factors like dry indoor heating, humidity fluctuations, and inadequate hydration. However, maintaining scalp hygiene and adopting a few simple practices can effectively combat these challenges," says Dr Biyani.

She suggests these effective remedies to combat hair problems:

Keep your scalp hydrated: Combat dryness and flaking by using a light, hydrating shampoo containing ingredients like glycerin or hyaluronic acid. Use lukewarm, not hot, water to prevent scalp dehydration.
