Smriti Mandhana stole the show at the first Women's Premier League auctions when Royal Challengers Bangalore outbid Mumbai Indians for the Indian vice-captain on February 13 for Rs 3.40 crore (USD 410,000).

Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian captain, cost the Mumbai Indians far less than Mandhana, at just around Rs 1.80 crore. Nat Sciver-Brunt of England, also bought by Mumbai Indians, earned Rs 3.20 crore. Harmanpreet was not even among the top six Indian purchases

All-around player Deepti Sharma, who was acquired by UP Warriorz for Rs 2.6 crore, is the second most expensive Indian player thus far. For Rs 1.80 crore, UP Warriorz have acquired left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone of England.
