IPL Auction 2024 for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) set new records in quick succession, with Sunrisers Hyderabad bidding a whopping Rs 20.5 crore on Pat Cummins, and then Kolkata Knight Riders overtaking that record bid with Rs 24.75 crore for Mitchell Starc. Among the Indians, Harshal Patel went to the Punjab Kings for Rs 11.75 crore.

Before IPL Auction 2024, England all-rounder Sam Curran's record deal of Rs 18.50 crore with Punjab Kings was the highest bid in the cash-rich league.
