Sell TCS, advises Gopi Suvanam

Gopi Suvanam, founder of InvestWorks recommends selling Tata Consultancy Services and advises buying midcap IT stocks.

Gopi Suvanam, founder of InvestWorks told CNBC-TV18, "Heavy weights are definitely a sell especially Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). It is not nimble enough to change its strategy when currency changes. TCS is definitely a sell, whenever it has sold off significantly over the last two days but if it picks up today it could be a good sell but midcap is still a buy when it comes to IT sector."

At 10:57 hrs Tata Consultancy Services was quoting at Rs 2,165.20, up Rs 21.70, or 1.01 percent. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 2,177.15 and an intraday low of Rs 2,124.

The share touched its 52-week high Rs 2,384.20 and 52-week low Rs 1,380.95 on 14 January, 2014 and 30 April, 2013, respectively. Currently, it is trading 9.19 percent below its 52-week high and 56.79 percent above its 52-week low. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 424,103.78 crore.
