Santosh Singh of Espirito Santo Securities told CNBC-TV18, "In HDFC we have about Rs 865 valuations. We thought 10 times earnings was a very good time to get into that stock."
"If one looks at the earnings of this particular quarter I think it is in line with expectations because the core book did as good as it was doing in the past with 20 percent growth rate. The disappointment was only because of the headline numbers but that is not what we look at, we look at the core book performance and it was good numbers from HDFC also." At 13:51 hrs Housing Development Finance Corporation was quoting at Rs 809.20, up Rs 1.15, or 0.14 percent. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 819.60 and an intraday low of Rs 805.35. The share touched its 52-week high Rs 931 and 52-week low Rs 632.20 on 30 May, 2013 and 28 August, 2013, respectively. Currently, it is trading 13.08 percent below its 52-week high and 28 percent above its 52-week low.
