Exit DB Realty, prefer Oberoi Realty: Vijay Chopra

A lot of controversies around this company, but if you look at the overall scenario, the debt is negligible on the books. They have some decent land back in Mumbai. But I am wary with the kind of bad news that the company has into headlines. So, I would suggest that better get out of DB Realty and if you want to stay in the realty space, it is better to be in Oberoi Realty which is again a Mumbai based company, a better company and of course, there are no controversies related to the company as yet. So, that would be a better strategy."" So select companies, number one which are quite away or far away from controversies. Again, there are a few more pointers I would like to mention here that whenever you are picking up a company, look at the debt which is there on the books. Look at the quarterly results, what is the kind of profits the company is making. Are these profits able to service the debt, because what we have seen in the last 10 years is that fantastic companies have gone down the drain just because there was huge debt on the books and they were not able to service the debt. And we have seen some beautiful companies going down the drain and people are getting stuck. Kingfisher is one, JP Morgan, GMR Infrastructure, GVK Power & Infrastructure, Suzlon Energy, there are a lot of good companies which were darlings of the market at some point of time.""I would recommend that one should also try and come out of Raj TV in rallies, because it is a very illiquid stock. There is not a huge volume on this and it is very difficult at time to get out of the stocks which have low volumes. Again, you can pick up consumption stories which are good. I would recommend Larsen and Toubro at these levels," he said.
