Jagannadham Thunuguntla, Head of Research at SMC Global Securities told CNBC-TV18, "In Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) it makes sense probably to take the profit and then wait for a dip and may be one can buy the stock on the same theme on the lower levels. Today’s news may be, that’s ok one or two days volatility will be there that’s a different matter."

At 15:25 hrs Hindustan Petroleum Corporation was quoting at Rs 542.50, down Rs 34.55, or 5.99 percent.
