Alchemy Capital remains overweight on FMCG sector

Hiren Ved, Director & CIO, Alchemy Capital Management remains overweight on FMCG sector.

Ved told CNBC-TV18, "In FMCG sector the valuations are not cheap but I think that it is very defensive sector to play in this kind of a macro environment. I think there is no debt on the books of these companies. Inflation actually helps these companies because they have reasonable pricing power and most of these guys have been able to pass on higher cost increases by taking price hikes.
